| Tourism Week 2013 Cobb Travel & Tourism is excited to invite all of Cobb to celebrate National Tourism Week 2013, May 4 – May 12 to recognize the importance of tourism to our community and commend all our wonderful visitors. Following is the schedule for National Tourism Week 2013: - Monday, May 6: Cobb Travel & Tourism will participate in “Dinner at the Depot,” which features live music and a variety of food trucks, in downtown Kennesaw.
- Wednesday, May 8: Cobb Travel & Tourism and the cities of Powder Springs and Austell will be out at the Silver Comet Trail from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Florence Road Trailhead, handing out bottled water, sunscreen and promotional items for tourist and trail enthusiasts alike.
- Thursday, May 9: Cobb Travel & Tourism will be set up from noon to 1 p.m. during the free Brown Bag Concert Series taking place at Glover Park on the Marietta Square.
- Friday, May 10: Cobb Travel & Tourism will participate in the Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival hosted by the North Cobb Rotary Club and the City of Acworth and held at Cauble Park on Lake Acworth.

| Pro Wakeboard in Acworth The Pro Wakeboard Tour is making its return to Dallas Landing Park in Acworth on May 18 and 19. The two-day event of loaded water-sports action also features live music, local food, athlete autograph signings and chances to win free stuff. | Skatepark Update Concrete pouring has begun at the Swift-Cantrell Skatepark project in Kennesaw. Sweet! The completed facility will boast a street-league certified 40,000 square foot plaza, one of the largest concrete skateparks in the southeast.
