The Earl Smith Strand Theatre is bringing "Hitsville, USA" back to the Marietta Square this Fourth of July with a fresh line-up of show stopping, finger snapping, toe tapping true American music in Mo' Motown!
Mo' Motown will hit The Strand's stage starting with a patriotic opening night on July 4th and continuing through the weekend. Mo'Motown is a musical revue that tells the story of the origins of Motown Records, founded by Berry Gordy in 1959, through a high energy performance featuring the best of Motown. The record label completely changed the sound of music, giving Americans everything they wanted in music: from anguish and romance to joy and dance.
Last year's Fourth of July weekend, The Strand brought Motown's most memorable hits to the Square, selling out every performance of A Salute to Motown. Patrons enjoyed some of the best music in American history with numbers showcasing songs from Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, The Temptations, and other Motown favorites.
Mo' Motown will be taking place at The Strand Theatre on July 4th at 7 PM, July 5th-7that 8 PM, and July 8th at 3 PM. Tickets are $20 and assigned seating. The Strand is offering a special Fourth of July bundle-$30 for a combination ticket to Mo' Motown and a view of the Marietta City fireworks from The Strand rooftop terrace and bar.
Tickets are available through the Strand Box Office. Box office hours are M-F, 9-12 & 1-4 and select Saturdays. The Box Office will open two hours before showtime. No refunds.
