(Cobb County, Ga.) - June 26, 2012 - Cobb Travel & Tourism is excited to welcome the first Travelball^TM National Championship Tournament to the East Cobb Baseball Complex beginning July 18, 2012.

TravelballSelect.com (TbS) is the source for Team Rankings and All America Players. For many years, TravelballSelect.com subscribers have asked TbS to host a Championship Tournament of the elite teams as determined by its rankings in the 9U to 14U age groups.

The games will be televised with professional announcers using content collected from leading media companies like travelballselect.com through Comcast Cable and Dish Network, bringing national coverage to the event.

"The beauty of this tournament is that it incorporates the best ideas from all national tournaments, it's non-denominational from a Travelball^TM standpoint, it's truly an invitational only tournament based on body of work throughout the past and current season, and it leverages TbS rankings to select the top teams,"  said Rick Goff, tournament director.

All sanctioning body organizations like USSSA, AAU and Triple Crown will be present. All field teams must play with existing players at a championship complex with qualified umpires. The National Championship tournament will be double elimination and will have six to ten games spread out over four days. From July 18 to July 22, 9U, 11U and 13U will compete followed by 10U, 12U and 14U from July 25 to July 29.

Sixteen top organizations were given invitations to the tournament including East Cobb Baseball, the host of the event. They will be joined by elite Travelball^TM clubs like the Houston Banditos, Beaver Valley Red, Cincy Flames, San Diego Stars and California's Lamorinda Baseball.
