MASTERCRAFT PRO WAKEBOARD TOUR KICKS OFF IN COBB
Cobb County, Ga. (May 2, 2012) - The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour will kick off its 2012 season on May 18 and 19 at Dallas Landing Park in Acworth.
The Main Event will take place on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour presented by Rockstar Energy Drink is a two-day event of water-sports action supported locally by the Acworth Business Association, Ahoy Marine, Extreme Propulsions, American Family Insurance-the Marvon Williams Agency, Shoreline Entertainment, Quickie Coupons, J.D's Bar-B-Que, and PTS Sports. The event will be televised nationally on the Versus Network, brings riders to our city from all over the world, and has a significant economic impact on our community.
On Friday the event begins at 9 a.m. ends around 5 p.m., but not all of the action takes place on the water. On land, fans will experience tons of great food and music; athlete autograph signings; chances to win free stuff; and shopping at the most cutting-edge stores for water-sports equipment including boats, wakeboards, wake skates, sunglasses and the latest in wakeboarding and surfing fashions. This family oriented event and will provide a fun filled day of sun, surf and excitement for all who attend.

Tickets will also be available for purchase on event dates at Dallas Landing Park: $13.00 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages six to twelve, and ages five and under are admitted free. Parking will be available at the park on May 18. Limited parking will be available at the park on May 19. Shuttles will be provided from Downtown Acworth. Block Party
The fun just keeps going on Saturday, May 19! Immediately following the end of the Pro Wakeboard Event, the Historic Downtown Acworth Block Party will kick off! The event begins at 8 p.m. and ends at
midnight. The event will feature the Pro Wakeboard Tour awards presentation, the live music of the "Paul Hand Band," radio personalities from 790 the Zone, outdoor dining, and much more.
